What You'll Do

You'll help keep CALA's studio and office running smoothly so our staff can focus on supporting artists and community programs. This role is on-site, one day a week (or two half days — your choice).

Your weekly tasks will include:

Volunteer Studio Manager
CALA Alliance | 8 hours/week

  • Answering the phone and responding to basic emails 

  • Keeping the studio clean, organized, and welcoming for visitors

  • Filing paperwork and keeping records up to date

  • Welcoming guests and artists who come to the studio

  • Running small errands or placing supply orders as needed

  • Checking in with staff on any urgent to-do's for the week

What We're Looking For

  • Organized and self-directed — you manage your time well without needing a lot of hand-holding

  • Comfortable using a computer and phone for basic tasks (email, printer, phone calls)

  • Friendly, professional, and respectful of artists and community members

  • Someone who cares about Latinx arts and culture and wants to see local artists thrive

  • Bilingual preferred

  • No degree required

Schedule
8 hours per week. You choose one full day or two half days that work for your schedule.

CALA has been serving Phoenix's Latinx artist community for over 15 years. When the studio runs well, artists can focus on their work. You make that possible. We are flexible and look forward to building our capacity with your support.
