CALA Alliance is pleased to present the organization’s second catalogue which documents Sam Frésquez’s solo exhibition Second Place is the First Loser. The exhibition, a culmination of the artist's residency with CALA Alliance, was on view from October 7th to to November 4th, 2022 at CALA Alliance and then November 29th to December 17th at Calderón Gallery in New York.
The catalogue is CALA Alliance's second publication and is printed in a limited edition of 100. The publication includes an introduction by CALA Alliance Executive Director & Curator Alana Hernandez, an essay by Christal Pérez, and captioned full-color images of each artwork in the exhibition
