A.M.O., in conjunction with CALA Alliance, presents a special screening of Psychomagic/Evedencia de Magia (2023), a documentary film by the artist collective Los Jaichackers (tag and tag). Originally premiered at LaPau Gallery in 2023, the film follows the story of Enrique Tena (DJ Escuby), who serendipitously discovers and rebuilds Migrant Dubs, the collective’s 2003 debut sculptural work in a Pasadena backyard. With the help of fate and Craigslist, Tena transforms the piece into a functional recording studio, expanding and continuing its original intent. Like a perfect DJ mix, through magic and fate, Enrique and Los Jaichackers share with us the infinite power of synchronicity.
