An International Chef Collaboration Celebrating the Flavors of Oaxaca

CALA Alliance is proud to present its annual culinary event Sabor, celebrating the distinct and diverse cuisines of the Americas on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Heard Museum. Since 2012, Sabor has featured top-rated chefs from around the Valley who have prepared dining experiences inspired by the rich cuisines of Latin America.

This year, CALA Alliance is pleased to host an international chef collaboration in celebration of the cuisine and cultures of Oaxaca, México. At the event, Arizona chef Mel Mecinas and Oaxaca chef Celia Florian will create a one-night only menu.

Sabor proceeds benefit CALA Alliance and its mission to create shared arts experiences that encourage cultural understanding between people of the Americas. A Phoenix nonprofit, CALA Alliance is dedicated to inspiring and educating Arizonans and the international community about the richness and depth of artistic talent in our local community, and to creating new understandings through art about Arizona’s connection to the Americas.
