Arts and Culture Internships

CALA Alliance offers internships to emerging arts and culture leaders with an interest in Latinx arts, cultural production and nonprofit arts management. Interns work directly with CALA leadership to gain experience in many facets of cultural work, including program and event coordination, artist project support, communications and community engagement. (Deadline to apply: August 31, 2017)

GDL > PHX Residencias Artísticas

GDL>PHX Residencias Artísticas is an artist residency and cultural exchange program between the cities of Phoenix, Arizona and Guadalajara, Jalisco organized by CALA Alliance (Celebración Artística de las Americas), ASU Art Museum and Programa Anual de Open Studios (PAOS GDL). (Deadline to apply: April 10, 2017)

Call For Latino/a Teaching Artists

How I Became an Artista is a cultural literacy program organized by CALA Alliance, Childsplay and ASU Art Museum that introduces elementary students in Metro Phoenix to the life and work of Latino/a and Latin American artists. Through reading, movement, and art-making, teaching artists in the visual and performing arts tell the story of how children become artistas who celebrate culture and make new traditions. (Deadline to apply: March 31, 2017)
