CALA Alliance (Celebración Artística de las Américas), a multidisciplinary Latino arts nonprofit based in Phoenix, is searching for an independent contractor to provide accounting services.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading all accounting functions and tax reporting requirements of CALA Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2010 with an operating budget of $300K and under 5 employees. This position is responsible for all monthly and annual financial reporting, has lead responsibility for completion of IRS Form 990, and assists with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working independently, being self-directed, and meeting deadlines.
This is a part-time contractor position that offers a flexible schedule and ability to work from home. The Senior Accountant works under the direction of the Executive Director. Bi-weekly travel to CALA’s offices at Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix is required. Attendance to quarterly board meetings is required. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
