Gabriel Rico is the first artist-in-residence for GDL>PHX Residencias Artísticas program, where artists from both cities are chosen to develop new work in Guadalajara, Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona. For his first museum exhibition in the United Sates, “Dead, Dead, Live, Dead,” Rico will create an installation of new works using materials such as taxidermy animals, neon and found natural objects to address the relationship between nature, architecture and the future ruins of civilization.
